Hope Reed Marketing
Helping filmmakers navigate and capitalize on
the complicated but rewarding world
of public television distribution.
Experience and creativity combine into
dynamic and flexible plans that bring more viewers
to a production on screen and extend its reach through engagement and event execution
in concert with local PBS stations.
I have worked in public television for over 20 years in program development, distribution, marketing and engagement.
My clients produce a wide range of projects including the most popular cooking show on PBS, America's Test Kitchen, National Geographic specials, the daily BBC World News, the long-running PBS Kids series with Thomas the Tank Engine, music specials with Steve Martin, Eric Clapton and Josh Groban, and an extensive list of award-winning documentaries.
As a marketer and project manager, I have experience in all aspects of launching and promoting programs to the public television system. This involves writing and distributing communications, securing timeslots, designing promotion tools, and planning engagement and events in local markets. I have built relationships with key contacts at PBS stations around the country.
